“That the minutes of the meeting of Dún Laoghaire Area Committee (Housing, Economic Community and Cultural Development, Planning and Organisational Innovation & Infrastructure and Climate Change Business) meeting held on the 8th May 2019, be CONFIRMED and ADOPTED.”

 

b)    It was proposed by Councillor J. Gildea and seconded by Councillor C. Smyth and RESOLVED:

A discussion took place, during which Mr. A. Baines, Senior Executive Officer, Infrastructure & Climate responded to Members queries. It was AGREED that Mr. A. Baines would talk to Eastern Regional Waste office and Waste operators regarding waste collection starting times and report feedback to the Members.

 

The report of the Chief Executive was NOTED.

“That the Chief Executive supplies a report on the band stand glass canopy on the East Pier and when it will be restored and reinstated?” 

 

The report by the Chief Executive was CONSIDERED.

 

A discussion took place during which Mr A. Baines, Senior Executive Officer,  Infrastructure & Climate Change, responded to Members queries. It was AGREED that Mr. A. Baines would ask Therese Langan Acting Director to provide further information on the insurance and possible funding options to the Members by e-mail.

 

The motion was AGREED.

“That the Chief Executive update this Committee on the issues raised by Old Connaught and District Community Association at their Deputation meeting on the 16th of May 2018, that were responded to by the Departments administered under this Area Committee.”

 

The report by the Chief Executive was CONSIDERED.

 

A discussion took place during which Mr. A. Baines, Senior Executive Officer, Infrastructure & Climate Change and Mr. A. Blighe, Senior Executive Officer, Housing Department responded to Member’s queries. It was AGREED that Mr. A. Baines would request Municipal Services issue clarification on traffic issue raised by Members.

“That the Chief Executive ensures the Playground at Loughlinstown Community Rooms is open to the public at the times specified.”

 

The report of the Chief Executive was CONSIDERED.

 

A discussion took place, during which Ms. Mary Ruane, Senior Executive Officer,

Community and Cultural Development Department, responded to Member’s queries.

 

It was AGREED that Ms. Mary Ruane would follow up with management of the centre and discuss with them monitoring of the opening hours and placing a sign with opening hours of the playground.

 

The motion was AGREED.
