Motion From The Floor

It was proposed by Councillor M. Halpin and seconded by Councillor H. Lewis

“To suspend Standing Orders to discuss the following;

This Area Committee condemns the decision of An Bord Pleanála to grant planning permission for the so called “co-living” development at the former CBS site.  We further call on the Minister to not extend the Strategic Housing Development legislation as it is being used by unscrupulous developers and speculators to fast track planning in the interest of profit not for the need of people and to outlaw these type of co-living developments”

It was agreed by a show of hands to suspend standing orders and following a discussion it was agreed to put the following amended motion to a roll call vote.
