“That this Council agrees to carry out a public consultation across the administrative area of this Committee to assess people's views of all the different public realm improvement works that have been carried out since the beginning of the pandemic to ensure that the issues can be ironed out in a democratic manner.”

Relocation of Bottle Bank

“That, in view of the desire to move bottle banks away from residential areas, that the Chief Executive consider relocating the bottle bank at the back of Newpark Centre (Newtownpark Avenue) or improving its regulation to avoid disturbance during unsocial hours.”

Cherrywood SDZ

“That the Chief Executive reports on current Urban Regeneration and Development Fund and Local Infrastructure Housing Activation Fund funding for infrastructure in the Cherrywood SDZ Scheme, also the Section 48 Levy Scheme, the report to include the extent of any shortfalls in each category, also an update on current development projects under construction.”

Housing Project

PLANNING BUSINESS

14.

Strategic Housing Developments

In accordance with the Planning and Development (Housing) and Residential Tenancies Act 2016 Section 8 (4) & (5) (http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/2016/act/17/enacted/en/html), any Strategic Housing Development (SHD) applications notified to the planning authority by An Bórd Pleanála (ABP) shall be covered under this item. Representatives of the Planning Department will inform the members of the following

 

a)    The details of the application

b)    The details of relevant pre planning consultations that have taken place with the Planning Authority and tripartite meetings with An Bórd Pleanála (ABP).

c)    Details of ABP’s opinion issued on foot of the tripartite meeting.

d)    Where the meeting takes place after the 5 week submission period; a summary of the points raised in the observations received by the Bórd and where the Chief Executive has formed a view of the effects of the proposed development on the proper planning and sustainable development of the area, such views.

 

Subsequent to the above presentation, 

 

·         An opportunity is provided to the members to get clarity on the detail of the application presented

 

Finally, representatives of the Planning Department will then record a summary of the expressed views of the elected members on the proposed development, to be included in the CE’s report to be submitted to An Bórd Pleanála.
