a)   Minutes of the Dún Laoghaire Area Committee (Housing, Economic Development, Community & Culture Development, Planning & Infrastructure & Climate Change Business) meeting held on Monday, 7th December, 2020at 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm

 

It was proposed by Councillor T Kivlehan, Seconded by Councillor M Clark and RESOLVED:

 

That the minutes of the meeting of Dun Laoghaire Area Committee held on 7thDecember 2020 be ADOPTED and APPROVED.”

In accordance with the Planning and Development (Housing) and Residential Tenancies Act 2016 Section 8 (4) & (5), Ms. M. Breslin (Senior Executive Planner, Planning Department) gave a presentation on the Strategic Housing Development application at Golf Lane, Carrickmines Golf Lane giving the members an opportunity to get clarity on the detail of the application, outlined details of the consultations that have taken place in relation to the proposed development under sections 5 (2) and 6 (5), and outlined details of the notice issued by the Board under section 6 (7).

 

It was AGREED to continue with the meeting while the views of the Members were being compiled by Planners.

Adjournment of Meeting

It was AGREED to ADJOURN the meeting at 7.00pm to the 9th February 2021 to take any items on the agenda not reached.

“That the Chief Executive conducts a review in order to thwart the regular illegal dumping that is taking place next to this property (address supplied) as previously reported DLR-CRM 183780 and consideration is given to installing CCTV with warning notices in this area.”

 

The report of the Chief Executive was CONSIDERED.

 

A discussion took place, during which Mr. A. Baines, Senior Executive Officer, Infrastructure and Climate Change Department responded to Members’ queries.

“That this Committee discuss the anti-social behaviour emanating from the development at Glen Druid estate, Shanganagh Road and to ask the Chief Executive what plans will be put in place to deal with the ongoing problem.”

“That the Chief Executive would provide a written report on the history, opening times and access to the Fitzgerald Park Community Garden, Mounttown.”

 

The report of the Chief Executive was CONSIDERED.

 

A discussion took place, during which Ms. P. Graydon, Administrative Officer, Corporate Affairs Department responded to Members’ queries.

 

The report was NOTED. It was AGREED that Councillor Moylan would re-submit the motion again later in the year.

Ms. M. Breslin, Senior Executive Planner, Planning, read back Members comments and Members were provided the opportunity to add any additional comments.

 

A Summary of the Members views on the proposed development was AGREED and will be forwarded to An Bord Pleanala.
