Minutes of the meeting of Dun Laoghaire Area Committee held on 28th January 2019 were considered and the following amendment to the minutes was AGREED:

This item was proposed by Councillor M. Halpin and Seconded by D. O’ Keeffe

 

“That this Committee agrees to place signs along the lines of the one attached at beaches and swimming spots across the administrative area of this Committee, to encourage people to pick up plastics as they leave.”

 

It was agreed that this Item would be discussed with Item 42, 43, 46 and 48.

 

The motion was AGREED.

 

It was proposed by Councillor M. Baker, Seconded by Councillor P. Stewart and AGREED that the amended minutes of the meeting of Dun Laoghaire Area Committee held on 28th January 2019, be ADOPTED and APPROVED."

“That the Chief Executive plant shrubs alongside the river embankment on Stillorgan Grove as it currently looks very unkept and untidy, and will the Council repair the damaged wall opposite (address supplied) and state when all of these works will be carried out.”

“That this Committee agrees that Seapoint be returned to its status prior to storm Emma, specifically by re-installing all the signage that was washed away and also, most importantly, by rebuilding the end of the upper pedestrian walk way from the gap to the Martello Tower which is currently impossible to use by mobility challenged people, because of the missing end section with accessible ramp.”

“That the Chief Executive, notwithstanding the reply received to Agenda Item 4 (Question) of January 28th 2019, to arrange an informal briefing session with the residents group behind the “Blockers” initiatives to outline to the organisers of these groups the functions of the Local Authority in respect of the parking issues highlighted by these groups on Twitter.”
