It was PROPOSED by Councillor D. O’Callaghan and SECONDED by Councillor C. Smyth

“That this Area Committee expresses concern at the gathering of groups of young persons, especially at night-time, at a location along a low wall fronting onto Glenavon Park, Ballybrack near the Old Wyattville Road, causing nuisance and annoyance to residents by engaging in anti-social behaviour.

Agrees that the low wall is contributing greatly to these gatherings and consideration be now given to raising it to a height which would discourage sitting on it.

Also, that a collaborative approach be put in place to further try and resolve the matter to include discussions and actions by Parks and Anti-Social sections of Council, the Gardaí and affected residents.”
