Election of Chairperson

It was proposed by Councillor P. Hand and seconded by Councillor L. McCarthy and agreed that Councillor J. Kennedy would be the Chairperson of the Housing, Economic Development, Community and Cultural Development, Planning & Infrastructure and Climate Change Business Dundrum Area Committee meeting.

 

No other Nominations were made.

 

Councillor J. Kennedy was ELECTED Chair of the Dundrum Area Committee.

The following motion was proposed by Councillors L. McCarthy, P. Hand, S. NicCormaic, S. O’Neill, G. Tallon and seconded by Councillor S. Brennan.

 

“That the Chief Executive would please provide a Resource Centre in Rosemount that could be utilised by all residents, similar to The White House in Ballyogan.”

 

Following a discussion, during which Mary Ruane, Senior Executive Officer, Community & Cultural Development, responded to Members queries, there was an amendment from the floor that the motion be amended as follows_

 

Amendment from the floor:

 

It was proposed by Councillors S. Brennan, D. Smith, S. NicCormaic, G.Tallon, P. Hand, L. McCarthy, S. O’Neill, C. Curran and seconded by Councillor J. Kennedy.

 

“That the Chief Executive present the complete Rosemount Nexus report at the November full Council meeting as a Headed Item for debate.”

 

Following discussion, during which Mary Ruane, Senior Executive Officer responded to Members queries, the Motion as amended was unanimously AGREED.

In accordance with the Planning and Development (Housing) and Residential Tenancies Act 2016 Section 8 (4) & (5), Ms. Louise McGauran, Senior Planner, provided a presentation of the SHD application, giving an opportunity to members to get clarity on the detail of the application, outlined details of the consultations that have taken place in relation to the proposed development under sections 5 (2) and 6 (5), and outlined details of the notice issued by the Board under section 6 (7).

 

A Summary of the Members views on the proposed development was NOTED and will be forwarded to An Bord Pleanála.
