“That the Chief Executive would instigate a programme of planting new tress at locations within the Lakelands Estate that have been subjected to removal of trees in recent years (where no new tree replacement occurred in lieu at such locations), in order to enhance the overall numbers of trees in the estate, in line with previous years.”

“That this Committee will carry out an examination of all trees on the pathway that runs from Glencairn LUAS stop of Holy Trinity School, with a view to including any weak or dangerous trees to the pruning list.”

“That the Chief Executive asks the Transportation Department to justify their report on planning application ref D16A/0370 which stated they had no objections on traffic grounds. This seems to be totally at odds with the Transportation’s Department report to ref D13A/0313. Traffic and parking issues remain a huge problem at this junction before any planning applications are taken into consideration.”
