“That the the Chief Executive  to install Speed Alert Signs in both directions on Woodlawn Park, Churchtown, to encourage drivers to adhere to the 30km Speed limit and to conduct a fresh speed survey at representative times, such as normal non-holiday rush hours, and at school start and finish times during term,

- noting that the last survey by the Council showed that mean speeds were above 30k

- noting increased traffic levels due to additional schools, residential development and employment levels generally?”

“That this Committee requests the Chief Executive to not allow pedestrian access onto Springfield Lane from Carrickmines Manor until suitable upgrade works have taken place to Springfield Lane to ensure safe use of the lane by all users in the interest of health and safety.”

-Noting that R112 is a very busy road
-Noting new bus route 175 stopping at this location
-Noting that this forms a route from Taney estate via the Black/Yellow Lane to Taney Church, Parish Centre and Schools.”

Strategic Housing Developments

Clay Farm (Phase 1C) Ballyogan Rd ABP 304288

 

In accordance with the Planning and Development (Housing) and Residential Tenancies Act 2016 Section 8 (4) & (5), Ms. Naoimh Fleming, A/Senior Executive Planner, provided a presentation of the SHD application, giving an opportunity to members to get clarity on the detail of the application, outlined details of the consultations that have taken place in relation to the proposed development under sections 5 (2) and 6 (5), and outlined details of the notice issued by the Board under section 6 (7).

 

A Summary of the Members views on the proposed development was NOTED and will be

forwarded to An Bord Pleanála.
