“To ask the Chief Executive to repaint the stop sign, and additionally to erect a stop sign at the entrance to Mount Eagle View/Way? The majority of traffic entering here is currently taking this corner without regard to the stop sign and causing danger to the many children residing here.”

“To ask the Chief Executive to install additional public lighting along the footpath in Meadowbrook park? Public lighting currently exist along one side of the park. Additional lighting on the other three sides of the park would make it safer for all park users, all year round.”

“That the Chief Executive would please advise how best to acknowledge and action the recent petition from residents in the Sandyford area requesting a playground in the Sandyford area.”

“That this Area Committee requests that the Chief Executive provide funding and construct in 2020 a new playground to replace the old one in Ballawley Park and that the playground be accessible and provide play equipment suitable for young people with disabilities.”

“That this Area Committee support a universally designed playground in either Marlay Park or Cabinteely Park which will be fully accessible to all children including those with special needs.”

“That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to urgently review the soccer pitch allocation process for this area, in order to positively support and promote girls’ participation in soccer through ring-fenced pitch time or other means.

 

In the short term, pending the review, that the Chief Executive would engage with Rosemount Mulvey Football Club and other local clubs using the pitches in Rosemount to ensure that the underage Girls’ teams at Rosemount Mulvey FC can access pitch time in Rosemount to enable them to take part in the upcoming MGL (Metropolitan Girls League) beginning on September 8th, noting that the MGL is a Sunday only league.”

That this Area Committee writes to South Dublin County Council, requesting that all concerts in Marlay Park and its environs licensed by South Dublin County Council must finish no later than 11pm.”

“That the Chief Executive would please progress an Inter Departmental Scheme (in conjunction with residents/businesses) including relevant senior staff in Public Realm with a view to preparing a 2020 application for Sandyford and Stepaside Villages in order for relevant aspects of the projects to be submitted for funding under the Urban Village Renewal Scheme.”
