“That this Area Committee call for the re-opening of the former Carnegie Library building to be used for community purposes. Furthermore we declare that this civic building should not be commercialised or used as part of any pilot scheme.”
A discussion took place on Item No. 7 and 9
Following discussion it was AGREED that a workshop with Councillors on the re use of the Former Carnegie Building will be held before the next Dún Laoghaire Area Committee (Housing, Economic Community and Cultural Development, Planning and Organisational Innovation & Infrastructure and Climate Change Business)

“That this Committee considers that any development on the north side of the N11 between White’s Cross and Kill Lane should not be allowed vehicular access to quiet residential areas on that side of the N11, specifically Knocksinna Court and Granville Road, and calls on the Chief Executive to ensure that any planning permission granted for such a development would provide for vehicular access on/off the N11”
A discussion took place where it was agreedto make the following amendment to the motion
