Reg: 483640) which recorded, presumably by a resolution of the Board, to set aside the procedures agreed by the Elected Members on 25th May 2010 (Item 194, Dún Laoghaire Area Committee) and to officially remove Section 34 of the Articles of Association of the above company which stipulates that the Board of Directors shall have three County Councillors as members in order to be legally constituted and to confirm whether the Companies Registration Office received a copy of this resolution with a copy of the newly adopted Memorandum and Articles of Association of this company which is charged with operating a Council owned facility and, for which, the Council has an oversight function and duty in the public interest?”

Merrigan - Local Area Plan for Dún Laoghaire “To ask the Chief Executive, in reference to Agenda Item 300 of September 6th 2016 and Agenda Item 218 of September 5th 2016, to outline the specific preparatory work, if any, that has been undertaken in the interim to prepare the Local Area Plan for Dún Laoghaire and Environs in accordance with Specific Local Objective 77 of the County Development Plan 2016-2022 and to outline a possible timeframe for the completion of such preparatory works and to confirm whether the preliminary pre-draft works already undertaken on this LAP, as advised to Council on May 14th 2012 under Agenda Item C/361, are still relevant and therefore, may be progressed at this stage to expedite the preparation of this very long overdue Local Area Plan or is this Council term to end, like all previous Councils in the last decade, without any substantial progress on the production of this Local Area Plan?”

“Living-Over- The- Shop”- Dun Laoghaire Area “That, the Chief Executive to explore the possibility of hosting an information briefing for owners of commercial properties on George’s Street and Patrick Street in Dún Laoghaire; Main Street, Blackrock; Castle Street, Dalkey and others, as may be appropriate, to outline public policy and planning procedures in respect of the following section of the County Development Plan 2016-2022: 8.2.3.4 Additional Accommodation in Existing Built-up Areas. (ix) ‘Living-Over-The-Shop’- “In encouraging the residential use of the upper floors of commercial properties in established retail/ commercial areas - including the districts of Dún Laoghaire, Blackrock, Dundrum, Glasthule, Dalkey, Sandycove and Monkstown - the Council will consider possible dispensations from normal standards to facilitate ‘Living-Over-The-Shop’ developments that will contribute positively to the renewal of areas provided any proposed modifications will not have a negative impact on visual amenities or the existing streetscape. • Derogations for older commercial buildings in appropriate cases may be given in respect of private open space, parking, and unit size standards. • Derogations for car parking may be allowed in acceptable existing town/central locations at the discretion of the Planning Authority”.
