It was proposed by Councillor J. Bailey and secondedby Councillor D. Kingston and agreed that the minutes of the meeting of Dun Laoghaire Municipal Services Area Committee meeting held on the 24th October, 2016 be CONFIRMED and ADOPTED.

 

It was to be noted that last month’s item on Idrone Terrace was passed by a majority.

It was proposed by Councillor J. Gildea, seconded by Councillor C. Smyth

 

“That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive not to renew the lease on allotments at Shanganagh Castle of any person who has not made use of their plot during the previous 11 months or who have not maintained their plot in a clean and weed free condition in accordance with the terms of their lease and furthermore to requests the Chief Executive to pass on any such leases to persons on the waiting list as soon as possible ”

 

It was AGREED to MOVE item 14 with Item 12

 

“That the Chief Executive when renewing the allotments in Shanganagh Castle ensure they are only renewed to those who are using them unless the holder has adequate reason not to have used their allotment in 2016.”

“That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to ensure that the overgrown hedges and vegetation along Bellevue Avenue Glenageary and Avondale Road Killiney are removed without delay as the extent of the obstruction and menace caused by overgrowth of the footpath is so extensive as to prevent pedestrians using the footpath at some locations along these roads and there is a real risk to pedestrians safety”.
